On Saturday, September 19, 2009, the congregation of St. John's Episcopal Church was asked to keep Ian and Diana Macdougald in prayer. A tumor was discovered in Diana's brain at our local Midland hosptial. Ian and Diana immediately went to Ann Arbor where the tumor was confirmed and considered inoperable. This blog is intended to provide updates for family and friends of Ian and Diana. Please use the comment area FOR THE MOST RECENT POST to share words of encouragement and prayer.
Hello Ian,
ReplyDeleteI'm the nurse/horse-riding friend of Fiona's. I am so glad this blog was created so I can keep track of what is happening with Di. From a clinical prospective, you sure have been granted a miracle! I've learned first-hand from working in critical care that God can do anything--miracles do happen every day! Praise God! His love is Everywhere!
Having met Fiona I'd have to say that God has blessed you richly in your life. She is truly a wonderful person and I am so proud to have her for a friend. I also had the pleasure of meeting your beautiful grandaughter, and I feel quite strongly God modeled her after a little Cherub Angel.......she is beautiful! You have a very nice family, Ian.
If I can help in any way, please let me know. I am keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
Denise
Dear Di and Ian,
ReplyDeleteI was just told yesterday from a friend at LHC(Chrisitne Whitehead) about your recent trials! Di, please know that I will keep you and Ian and your family in my prayers. You look amazingly well for all that you have been through. Kerry's mom was just diagnosed with a brain cyst a few weeks ago and also had surgery. I can't tell you the difference your faith has during these trying times. To see how God has worked throughout all that you are going through gives such peace. I'm so thankful that Fiona and your family are there with you and your granddaugther is absolutely precious! Laughter is truly good medicine for your soul as well as for your body. May God continue to encourage you through our prayers and those around you as well as grant the doctors wisdom and continue to show you and your family His favor. My love to you all,
Sue McCarthy (former LHC women's ministry cohort:+)
You are in our thoughts and prayers, we love you very much. Are you still in Ann Arbor? We would love to come and see you.
