On Saturday, September 19, 2009, the congregation of St. John's Episcopal Church was asked to keep Ian and Diana Macdougald in prayer. A tumor was discovered in Diana's brain at our local Midland hosptial. Ian and Diana immediately went to Ann Arbor where the tumor was confirmed and considered inoperable. This blog is intended to provide updates for family and friends of Ian and Diana. Please use the comment area FOR THE MOST RECENT POST to share words of encouragement and prayer.
I'm so very sorry......She was a dear person and I am thankful that she is no longer suffering, but I really feel for you all in your pain. I never met any of you, only Di, yet I feel as though I have come to know you through this.
ReplyDeleteI will continue to pray for you as you come to terms with your loss.
May God bless you all.
To Ian, Fiona, Andrew and family, You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this tough time. We have all lost a dear friend, and will deeply miss her. I am sure that God has welcomed her with a hearty 'well done' and open arms. May God continue to support and strenghten you all. All our love and blessings, Anthony, Ginny Sassen and family xxx
ReplyDeleteDear Ian, Andrew and Fiona, Our thoughts are with you all at this extremely sad time. Di always kept in touch keeping us up to date with what was happening in the Macdougald side of our family! You have been so brave ~ just to write this blog to keep us all in the picture must have been difficult when you had day to day pressure with Di's condition. I am sure you will all draw great comfort from each other and your faith and also from all your friends who have been expressing their prayers for you all. You must now look after yourself Ian ~ Di wouldn't want you to be unhappy although that is easier said than done ~ I know! but you must give yourself time to recover both mentally and physically from this most painful time in your life. Be comforted by the thought that Di is no longer in pain and will still be "around" in her own way to watch over you all. With lots of love and friendship ~ your cousin Jill xxx
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about Di today and decided to check the blog. I'm so sorry to hear about her death. She's one of those people you meet and never forget. I'm thankful I got to know her at Long Hill Chapel. She was a very special child of God and taught me a lot...such wisdom.
ReplyDeleteIan, Andrew, Fiona and Family, you are in my prayers. May the Lord fill you with wonderful memories of Diana and bring you peace.
